Ryde Hospital and Community Health Service
Ryde Hospital is situated in Sydney’s northern suburb of Eastwood, close to Macquarie, Top Ryde and Eastwood shopping centres, railway stations and bus routes. We are approximately 20 kilometres from the centre of Sydney. Staff facilities include accommodation, free parking, attractive grounds, child care centre, library, Intranet access in wards to all major Healthcare related databases.
Our services include:
Emergency, High Dependency Unit /Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation, Operating Theatres, Day Surgery, General Medicine and Surgery, Orthopaedics, Maternity and a Rehabilitation Assessment Unit. Our community-based services include Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, HIV/Sexual Health Promotion, Child and Family Health, Dental Services, Health Promotion Unit and Aged-care Rehabilitation.
Clinical placements available for Registered Nurse Transitional learners:
Transitional Registered Nurses are offered two clinical rotations in our general medical wards and our surgical ward, and one of these placements may be an elective/specialty placement within Emergency, High Dependency Unit /Cardiology or Operating Theatres.
Start Date:
Monday, 6th March 2012 - Seven (7) positions are available.
Accommodation available/type:
At Ryde, on-site accommodation, comprising of a single room with shared facilities available in staff residence for up to 12 months for transitional nurses.

Nurse Transition to Practice Strategy at Ryde Hospital
Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is proud to once again offer a Transition to Practice Strategy. The facilities include: Hornsby, Macquarie, Manly/Mona Vale, Royal North Shore, Ryde, Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service, Hope Health Care and Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney.
