Royal North Shore Hospital is a 560-bed tertiary referral hospital on Sydney’s lower North Shore. The Intensive Care Department delivers state-wide tertiary referral services for neurosurgical, spinal, burns and trauma  cases in  three specialised units: Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgical & General. The Department of Intensive Care is committed to continuing professional development in a supportive environment, providing a highly structured induction process for the Transitional Registered Nurse.

Within the 12 month ICU TRN strategy we offer:

  • A structured orientation program
  • A structured peer support program
  • Critical care skill development
  • Baseline competence in critical care nursing
  • Supported educational opportunities

Applications:

Positions are limited.

Successful applicants will be allocated to one of the three specialty areas for a 12 month period.
